NYDA Grant Programme for the New Generation of Entrepreneurs
The Programme provides young entrepreneurs with an opportunity to access both financial and non-financial business development support, enabling them to establish or grow their businesses. South African youth owned enterprises will benefit from the grant programme starting from R1000 to R100 000.
Non-financial support services offered through the Grant include mentorship, business consultancy services, market linkages, business management training programmes, and youth cooperative development programmes. Moreover, individuals, co-operatives, and community development facilitation projects are eligible to apply.
Within the grant’s service delivery standards, grant applications will be processed at a branch within 30 working days. Furthermore, disbursement for approved applications will be processed at the Head Office within 30 working days.

The NYDA Grant Programme supports:
- Firstly, youth between 18 and 35 years of age;
- Additionally, youth who already have skills or experience, or who show potential and possess the appropriate skills for the enterprise they run or plan to run;
- Moreover, South African citizens; and
- Likewise, South African residents.
Furthermore, the Grant covers the following purposes:
- To purchase movable and immovable assets;
- To provide bridging finance;
- To fund shop renovations;
- To supply working capital directly to the grantee; and/or
- Finally, to co-fund initiatives with legal entities only.
The Application Process:
- Firstly, applicants must apply at least 3 months before turning 35 years.
- Next, they must submit all required documentation.
- Additionally, applicants must provide proof of attending a Business Management Training course.
- Furthermore, they must present a 10-minute business pitch, either in person or telephonically.
- Finally, NYDA officials will conduct a due diligence assessment on the business.
